PTC THERAPEUTICS, INC. FILES REGISTRATION STATEMENT FOR PROPOSED INITIAL PUBLIC OFFERINGSouth Plainfield, NJ—May 16, 2013—PTC Therapeutics, Inc., today announced that it has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") relating to the proposed initial public offering of its common stock. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not been determined.

J.P. Morgan and Credit Suisse are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering. Cowen and Company is acting as co-lead manager and Wedbush PacGrow Life Sciences as co-manager.

A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the SEC, but has not yet become effective.
